Planning for National Signing Day 2025 began in the summer of 2024 as we prepared for a packed June of official visits. Our goal was to create a content station during those visits to lay the foundation for a cohesive Signing Day campaign for the Class of 2025.
At Penn State, Signing Day is more than a digital announcement — it's a program-wide celebration. Each year, we transform the football facility into a live event space for donors, staff, and key stakeholders, replicating the energy of the NFL Draft. As each commitment becomes official, we FaceTime the signee and their family, cue “The Pick Is In” theme music, and reveal their custom creative in real time.
This year, we fully leaned into the Draft Day concept. During official visits, I directed player poses aligned with the theme, ensuring we had a unified visual approach ready for activation in the fall. I led the creative direction and design, developing the campaign logo, a custom Signing Day hat, and a graphic template system that powered our print, digital, and social content.
